A technique for visualizing relationships between different concepts using phrases like “gives rise to”, “results in”, “is required by”, “contributes to”.

A great tool with free and paid usage levels is Gliffy. See a demo of Gliffy on YouTube:

•skrbl free, sharable web whiteboard

•Visual-Literacy.org offers a periodic table of visualizations

•Thinkature free software managed on remote server. Work in real-time using graphics and voice over IP. The concept is to have a place for early-stage thinking.
